Kokanee Salmon
Kokanee salmon are the land-locked relative of the sockeye salmon. They are not native fish as the Kokanee were introduced into Montana in Flathead Lake in 1914. Today you will no longer find this species in Flathead Lake, but you can find them nearby, such as in Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park.
This video is a scuba dive with hundreds of Spawning Kokanee Salmon in the waters of Lake McDonald, Glacier Park, Montana.
