Jump aboard our boat and tour Flathead Lake!
We launched our boat in Somers Bay at the NW access to Flathead Lake and filmed some excerpts from our trip down to Woods Bay. It was a beautiful day to be on the water; bright and sunny with puffy white clouds and excellent water conditions.
The water temperature was a nippy 60 degrees, so without a wet suit, playing in the water was a little uncomfortable… we’ll save the wet fun for a warmer day.
Tour Flathead Lake by car
You can drive around the entire circumference of Flathead Lake by taking Rt. 93 on the western shore or Rt. 35 along the east coast of the lake.
Tour Flathead Lake by boat
To fully appreciate Flathead Lake, you need to see it from a boat. If you are visiting this area and forgot to bring your boat with you there are still ways to tour the lake from a boat. Most of the fishing charter companies (See Captain Norm) offer tours and some will even take you to Wild Horse Island where you can hike, picnic and view the wildlife that inhabit the island.
Additionally, you can tour the lake by taking a cruise with “Flathead Lake Boat Tours“.
